Corrective Maintenance

Corrective maintenance, also known as bug fixing or reactive maintenance, refers to the process of identifying and resolving bugs, errors, or issues in software or systems after they have been identified or reported. It involves diagnosing the problem, determining the root cause, and applying fixes or patches to resolve the issue.

Example: If a user reports that a mobile app crashes when they try to navigate to a certain page, the development team would investigate the issue and release an update or patch to fix the bug causing the app to crash.
