GrainFox (subsidiary of Farmlink Marketing Solutions) is a cutting-edge farm wealth solutions platform designed to guide producers from bin to bank. By leveraging farm details along with current and historical market data, GrainFox helps farmers make informed decisions about selling their crops, reducing emotional influence, and providing a clearer financial path.The company has recently announced its entry into the U.S. market through a strategic partnership with Chicago-based market advisory firm AgResource. This collaboration aims to provide producers and agribusinesses with the tools they need to succeed in today’s dynamic agricultural landscape.
GrainFox enhances its value to farmers with key features like the Smart Advisor, which delivers tailored sales advice. Its comprehensive toolkit includes the ROI Calculator, Price Finder, and Farm Profile. The Cash Flow Planner aids in financial management, and the mobile app provides access to data anywhere, anytime on iOS and Android devices. Additionally, operational tracking enables monitoring of commodities, inventory, contracts, and reports.
Imaginary Cloud’s involvement began with the goal of digitising and automating tasks on GrainFox’s platform. Initially, the focus was on enhancing the design and usability based on user feedback. Our team was responsible for all design work, collaborating closely with GrainFox’s Project Owners and Managers to align priorities and provide expert design input.
We worked with development teams to implement actionable solutions and introduced new features, including improvements to the Farm Profile, Price Finder, and ROI Calculator, as well as the addition of the Cash Flow Planner and Smart Advisor. This comprehensive approach helped centralise operations and support financial decisions, ultimately enhancing the user experience and operational efficiency for GrainFox.

We adopted the Managed Teams working model since the client already had an in-house team. The project began with Imaginary Cloud’s UX/UI designer and expanded to a team of two. Our team worked closely with the client's development teams for them understand the UX as as whole, and to consistently deliver new features and enhancements.
This project delivered an in-depth understanding of the customer persona and their interaction with the service.
The app’s usage has nearly tripled following the UI improvements.
User stickiness has doubled, indicating that users return to and engage with the app for longer periods.
All features are consistently available and operational.
