The Composer module sits at the heart of this experience - dynamically managing and rendering the visual structure of each user’s app. The modernisation of this module was a pivotal step toward enhancing both the user experience and the platform’s long-term scalability.
Imaginary Cloud was responsible for the complete re-implementation of the V7 Composer templates. Our mission was to deliver a high-performing, maintainable architecture that aligns with GoodBarber’s technical standards and product vision.
Our role included:
• Developing the new widget framework from the ground up using Django, TypeScript, and modern web technologies.
• Rewriting and optimising ~150 widgets, ensuring visual and functional consistency with the legacy system.
• Guaranteeing architectural integrity, scalability, and clean code practices across all modules.
• Providing dedicated project management, ensuring efficient communication, progress tracking, and adherence to delivery milestones.
The workflow was structured around:
• Weekly touchpoints: Three short calls per week to unblock developers, validate technical details, and confirm progress.
• Direct developer–client feedback loops: Continuous review cycles with GoodBarber’s internal teams to ensure accuracy in both design and functionality.
• Remote-first collaboration: The project was fully remote, with an emphasis on transparency, documentation, and proactive communication.
This working model ensured quick feedback, reduced turnaround times, and consistent progress toward key milestones.
