About this project
GoodBarber partnered with Imaginary Cloud to carry out a critical documentation initiative focused on their existing V6 app templates.
Result: A complete, pseudocode-based documentation of 195 templates across iOS, Android, and Web, enabling GoodBarber to make informed architectural decisions and implement a new abstraction layer for their upcoming V7 Composer module.

GoodBarber is a world-leading no-code platform designed to empower users to create, customise, and launch professional-grade mobile and web applications. Its template-based architecture allows users to easily define the structure and behaviour of their apps across multiple environments.
To prepare for the upcoming V7 Composer module, it became essential to understand and standardise the complex logic that currently powers V6 templates. This documentation project was designed to provide that clarity.

Imaginary Cloud performed an in-depth analysis and documentation of the existing V6 template logic. Our mission was to deliver a structured, comprehensive, and accessible set of pseudocode documents to support GoodBarber’s next major architectural evolution.
Our role included:
• Conducting a detailed analysis of the V6 template codebase across Objective-C, Swift, Java, Kotlin, and JavaScript.
• Producing pseudocode documentation for each template, capturing data flow, logic paths, and return values.
• Delivering architectural clarity, highlighting similarities and divergences between platforms.
• Providing dedicated project management to ensure timelines, communication, and deliverables were consistently met.

GoodBarber collaborated with Imaginary Cloud through a Managed Team model, combining technical expertise with structured project management to deliver clear and consistent documentation outputs.
Project Manager: Coordinated project scope, ensured alignment with GoodBarber’s internal teams, managed priorities, and maintained timelines.
Account Manager: Facilitated communication, ensured expectations were met, and supported alignment between client strategy and deliverables.
Developers: Performed detailed template analysis, documented logic in pseudocode, and ensured cross-platform consistency in the final outputs.
GoodBarber Team: Served as key reviewers of the pseudocode documentation, providing validation and feedback to ensure its immediate relevance for the upcoming V7 architecture.
This project delivered an in-depth understanding of the customer persona and their interaction with the service.
195 templates documented, each expressed in clear pseudocode outlining their data-to-render logic.
Architectural clarity across iOS, Android, and Web codebases, identifying shared patterns and environment-specific differences.
Strong foundation for V7 development, supporting the creation of a new abstraction layer between legacy V6 templates and the modernised Composer.
Improved decision-making for future GoodBarber platform evolution and code standardisation.
