Lectus partnered with Imaginary Cloud to create a new onboarding experience that met the goals of its main users, students and tutors. We designed it through our product design process.
Result: Lectus is now used by more than 100 students and tutors in Cambridge and has launched in 5 more universities.

Lectus is the go-to app for students seeking personalized academic support from top-notch tutors. With Lectus, students can easily find and book expert tutors in any subject, at any time, from the convenience of their mobile device.
The platform offers a seamless, secure, and user-friendly experience that helps students achieve their academic goals and reach their full potential.
Imaginary Cloud created two persona-based (student and tutor) onboarding experiences in order to meet their needs and goals. The students’ goal was picking a tutor and the tutors’ goal was to connect with students, work only when they want to and track their earnings and performance.
By focusing on the main features of the app, we helped each user understand its benefits and how to achieve them.

We followed our Managed Project model, which provides a complete set of resources to deliver an end-to-end solution.
UX/UI Designers: Responsible for the design, architecture, and implementation of all the experiences a user has when interacting with the Lectus app.
Frontend and Backend Developers: Responsible for ensuring that the app’s users can easily interact with it. They do this through the combination of design, technology and programming the app’s appearance, as well as taking care of debugging.
Project Manager: Define project requirements and outline the scope of the future app. After that, they provide a high-level project plan, and give the client rough time estimates.
This project delivered an in-depth understanding of the customer persona and their interaction with the service.
