How Alicontrol expanded their services in more than 10 countries thanks to their new app

Alicontrol partnered with Imaginary Cloud to create a new iPad app for restaurants, letting their clients register and manage compliance records digitally rather than on paper. We shaped the app through our product design process.
Result: The client was able to expand their services to more than 10 countries.

The consulting company operates in the food industry and differentiates itself by offering their clients industrial units, with high production efficiency.
The new app - CheckHApp - aims provides a rigorous and quality service tailored to businesses, with professionals available 24/7 to provide complete support regarding compliance with legal requirements, using laboratory analyzes and specific training for its employees. The app allows you to be constantly updated, specific to your requirements, such as checking cold systems or recording daily temperatures. The app allows simple and immediate completion of all records, customized to the size and characteristics of client’s space.

The product value proposition targeted restaurant managers, helping them keep track of the records more easily. The product relies on the input of the restaurant’s staff, which is used to the traditional paper sheets.
As such, it was essential to reduce users’ reluctance to adoption. We developed two design strategies that consisted of a workflow that demanded a minimal number of clicks, and a simple and fun look & feel.

To this project, we implemented our Product Design Process.
TECHNOLOGIES used
To allow heavy input-output operations.
To build the interface quickly and efficiently with significantly less code.
Redux was also used as there was existing knowledge of the framework.
For user interface (UI) consistency across the project, we used MUI which enabled flexibility to achieve the final designs.
We followed the Dedicated Team working model, which included our product-oriented UX/UI Designers, Frontend Developers and a Project Manager. This way, we were able to provide Fundspace with a development team fit to their needs, able to work independently, and fully integrated with their own team and processes.
UX/UI Designers: Responsible for the design, architecture and implementation of all the experiences a user has when interacting with the platform.
Front-end Developers: Responsible for ensuring that the platform’s users can easily interact with it. They do this through the combination of design, technology and programming the platform’s appearance, as well as taking care of debugging.
Project Manager: Define project requirements and outline the scope of a future web app. After that, they provide a high-level project plan, and give the client rough time estimates.
This project delivered an in-depth understanding of the customer persona and their interaction with the service.
The app is now available in more than 10 countries.
Alicontrol has been gaining more clients, passing the number of 200.
The new app has a seamless look & feel attracting to the users.
