Prototype

A prototype is a preliminary model or representation of a product, system, or concept that is created to test and validate design ideas, functionality, and user interactions. Prototypes serve as a visual and functional proof of concept and are used to gather feedback and make design decisions.

For instance, when designing a new smartphone, engineers and designers create physical or digital prototypes to assess the device's ergonomics, aesthetics, and usability before final production. This helps identify and resolve issues early in the design process.
