Desporto Escolar is a sports program for school-aged children in Portugal that aims to promote physical activity and healthy habits among students, as well as to encourage socialization and teamwork. It offers a variety of sports activities and competitions, ranging from traditional sports like football, basketball, and volleyball, to other activities like dance, gymnastics, and martial arts.
The program is organized at different levels, from local and regional competitions to national events, and is run by a partnership between the Portuguese Ministry of Education and the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth. Desporto Escolar also provides opportunities for students to participate in international competitions, representing Portugal in various sports.

Desporto Escolar partnered with Imaginary Cloud to improve the platform’s user engagement and adapt the visual language to match the users.
Imaginary Cloud’s role was to bring the look & feel of the platform to modern standards through a comprehensive design.

TECHNOLOGIES used

To create the visual elements and interactions for the user interface.

We followed the Managed Project working model, which included our product-oriented UX/UI Designers and a Project Manager. This way, we were able to provide Desporto Escolar with a development team fit to their needs, able to work independently, and fully integrated with their own team and processes.
UX/UI Designers: Responsible for the design, architecture and implementation of all the experiences a user has when interacting with the platform.
Project Manager: Drawing on experience in industries galore, our Project Manager defined project requirements and outlined the scope of the app.
This project delivered an in-depth understanding of the customer persona and their interaction with the service.
Faster and easier to navigate, enabling users to find information quickly.
